There is a certain magic when two people embark on a journey of love and commitment together. James and Kate's wedding at the stunning Hinwick House in Northamptonshire was no exception. Their ceremony was filled with unique touches, laughter and beautiful moments that made it a truly personalised celebration.

Hinwick House, a beautiful Grade 1 listed country house and grounds, served as the perfect venue for this unforgettable day.

A Celebration of Love with a Twist

One of the standout features of Kate and James' wedding ceremony was the 'ring sprinkling', their own fun twist on the traditional ring warming. As guests arrived, they were invited to sprinkle their love and warm wishes onto the rings. Not only was this a fun way to get all of their guests involved in their wedding day, but it also filled the rings with the love, hopes and support of their friends and family.

James and Kate wanted to include their friends and family in their ceremony to make it more personal and meaningful. Therefore, in a fun twist when it was time to exchange rings, the ring bearers' names were selected from a bag, which added an element of surprise for all involved!

Children Stealing the Show

What's a wedding without the energy of children? James and Kate's wedding party included several little ones, including their adorable daughter, Maria. Playful and full of spirit, she added an extra layer of entertainment to the ceremony! She found the piano at the back of the room, helped the fabulous photographer at one point and spent a few minutes in my arms, supporting me with the mic!

Music and Memories: The Perfect Soundtrack

Every great wedding needs the right soundtrack to set the mood. James and Kate chose perfect pieces for the ceremony, with guests listening to 'Stuck on You' by Dave Fenley as they entered the ceremony space and Kate being escorted down the aisle by her dad, Pat, to 'I Guess I'm in Love' by Clinton Kane. Such beautiful tunes to set the scene for the rest of their day.

When the music and words of a ceremony fit together effortlessly, the whole thing seems somehow more magical! Needless to say, Bret, the DJ on the day was fabulous and very easy to work with and, together, we achieved that seamless flow.

How They Met: A Love Story

The couple's journey began during the pandemic, a time when many love stories took an unexpected turn. James, who was devoted to his work and the Donington race track, met Kate online. Early on, they both realised how special their connection was.

Navigating their way through the challenges of lockdown together, their love grew and they overcame the 'bumps' that life threw at them in the early months. Four years later, on their wedding day, they promised to keep showing up for each other on the good days, the tough ones and all the ordinary ones in between.
