Funerals

When planning the Celebration of Life of a loved one, it is important to create a warm, personalised farewell. It is always my goal to craft ceremonies that embrace the unique journeys of those we cherish, endeavouring to celebrate life, love and legacy in a way that brings comfort and unity to family and friends.

Celebration of Life

Typically, I receive initial contact through a funeral director or from a natural burial ground who requests my involvement in discussing your funeral wishes. However, you can also reach out to me directly. A Celebration of Life should revolve around the wishes of the person who has passed, along with those of their family. Working together, I create services that are not just memorable, but also reflect the life being celebrated with dignity, warmth, and, where appropriate, a touch of humour.

Included:

- Initial meeting to discuss the details and your ideas of your ceremony.

- A draft copy of your ceremony script for editing and approving.

- Delivery of your ceremony.

- A copy of your ceremony script for you to keep.

- Unlimited contact throughout the whole process.

Interment of Ashes

Ash Interments, or the placement of cremated remains, marks the final resting place for your loved one's ashes. These ceremonies provide a unique opportunity to honour and celebrate their life within a tranquil and meaningful setting. I am dedicated to helping you create a heartfelt ceremony that reflects your loved one's essence.

Included:

- Initial meeting to discuss the details and your ideas of your ceremony.

- A draft copy of your ceremony script for editing and approving.

- Delivery of your ceremony.

- A copy of your ceremony script for you to keep.

- Unlimited contact throughout the whole process.

Memorial

Memorial services are typically held after a burial or cremation and are heartfelt gatherings, where family and friends come together to honour and remember a loved one, focusing on celebrating the unique journey of the individual.  During a memorial service, I facilitate moments of remembrance, reflection and tribute having worked closely with you to craft personalised speeches, readings and music choices that help to paint a vivid picture of your loved one's life.

Included:

- Initial meeting to discuss the details and your ideas of your ceremony.

- A draft copy of your ceremony script for editing and approving.

- Delivery of your ceremony.

- A copy of your ceremony script for you to keep.

- Unlimited contact throughout the whole process.

Pre-Written Celebration of Life Script

As society becomes increasingly open to discussing matters related to death and the dying process, more individuals are considering the option of pre-planning their own funeral ceremonies. This decision may stem from an awareness that the end of life is approaching, or it might simply be a proactive choice made for the future. Engaging in the pre-planning of your Celebration of Life offers a sense of peace and reassurance, knowing that your loved ones won't be burdened with uncertainty during an emotionally challenging time. Instead, they will find comfort in the knowledge that they are fulfilling your final wishes.

If you choose to pre-write your own ceremony, together we will create one that is tailored to your preferences, including religious or spiritual elements, readings and music choices. We will talk about the twists and turns of your life - your childhood, your relationships with family and friends, your hobbies, interests and cherished memories, allowing us to create a eulogy that truly celebrates your life, passions and accomplishments, and reflects your unique personality.

Once approved by you, a copy of your ceremony script is kept by myself, a copy is lodged with your chosen funeral director (if applicable) and a copy is sent to you to be kept with your personal papers or entrusted to a friend or family member for safekeeping.

Whilst I cannot guarantee my availability to personally officiate your ceremony when the time arises, please rest assured that I will make every possible effort to be there to support your family during this important time.

Included:

- Initial meeting to discuss the details and your ideas of your ceremony.

- A draft copy of your ceremony script for editing and approving.

- A copy of your ceremony script for you to keep and a copy for your chosen Funeral Director (if applicable).

- Unlimited contact throughout the whole process.

Kind Words

Relative of Deceased

I just wanted to share my experience with anyone that's looking for a celebrant... Suzanne was amazing start to finish in helping us through the most difficult time after losing my lovely Mum, she was patient beyond words and so proficient at what she does ensuring the whole thing ran smoothly from start to finish.
The service however difficult on the day was made so much nicer and certainly a special send off, all of our family and friends commented on what a lovely service it was
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Suzanne for any of you're requirements she's a true gem!!

Daughter of Deceased

Suzanne was fantastic officiating at my Mothers funeral. She sent a simple form to fill out with the basics but it was at the face to face meeting that the she shone. With considerate, careful prompting Suzanne was able to capture the essence of my Mother and allowed her to really understand her from our perspective.
All of the family were encouraged to add to the input which meant that the eulogy meant something to everyone.

On the day of the funeral Suzanne talked us through the ceremony and liaised with the crematorium staff to ensure every thing went smoothly.
Suzanne's thoughtfulness and professionalism shone through and made the day as easy as possible.
